Dwelling and Abiding

Psalm 91:1-2

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High

will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say to the LORD, “My refuge and my fortress,

my God, in whom I trust.”

God’s part - Shelter, Shadow (of rest), Refuge, Fortress

My part - dwell, abide, say (pray), trust

God is my shelter, my home. In His shadow I have protection. He is a refuge for me, a hiding place. He is a mighty fortress, an unshakable bastion of safety.

I dwell with Him, living with Him day by day. I abide in Him, resting in His perfect provision. I trust in Him. I believe what He says is true. I can place my life in His hands, knowing that I am secure there.
